Privacy & Data Use — plain-English summary
Last updated: September 2026
A short, human summary of how your data is used. This is a transparency layer, not a substitute for the full Privacy Policy.
What data is used
The decision you write, the context you add, and any documents you choose to upload — plus basic account details.
Why it is used
Only to run the Council you asked for, to keep your account secure, and to meet legal/accounting obligations.
Who can see it
- Your data is private to your account and is not visible to other customers.
- To run a Council, relevant content may be processed by approved AI and infrastructure providers on our behalf — using only what is necessary for the task. See the Subprocessors & Service Providers page for the current list of providers.
Retention, deletion & export
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and operate the service, maintain security and records, and meet applicable legal obligations. Where applicable, you may request access, export or deletion of your personal data. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate record-keeping, security or dispute purposes.
Selling data
We do not sell your personal data.
